Spitfire Mk.IXc FlightLine RC 1600mm: a 1/7 scale model.

Following numerous customer requests, FlightLine RC has decided to enlarge its famous 1200mm Spitfire to create an improved version, with a wingspan of 1600mm, corresponding to a 1/7 scale. This model stands out for its scale model level of detail, expected in this size category, and for its meticulous design.

Superior quality design

The Spitfire is made of EPO foam, offering scale-accurate shapes and a smooth surface. The main wing combines hollow foam parts with a plywood and carbon fiber frame, ensuring better strength and reduced weight compared to a solid foam wing. The wing and stabilizer are detachable and secured with screws, making transport of the model easier.

To enhance durability and performance, air circulation is integrated into the fuselage, allowing effective ventilation of electronic equipment. Battery access is through a removable cockpit, while a removable plywood plate provides convenient access to the receiver and the location intended for an optional flight gyro stabilizer, located near the center of gravity (CG).

Impressive performance

The Spitfire Mk.IXc is equipped with a brushless Out-Runner 5055-390KV motor, an 80A controller, and a four-blade propeller. Paired with a 6S 4000-5000mAh LiPo battery, it reaches a top speed of 125 km/h, while offering high vertical power and a flight autonomy of 6 to 10 minutes depending on throttle management.

Its landing gear, with suspended legs and 85mm wheels on 5mm axles, along with a 45mm tail wheel, allows for easy takeoffs and landings, even on grass runways.

Flight characteristics and accessibility

Optimized for exceptional performance, this Spitfire is perfect for intermediate and experienced pilots. Its flight behavior is predictable, especially during stalls, and the available power allows for easy recovery of the aircraft in all configurations.

Equipped with "Day-Bright" LEDs, the model ensures good visibility in all circumstances.

Fully painted, the Spitfire Mk.IXc FlightLine RC 1600mm combines aesthetics, performance, and practicality for an unparalleled flying experience.
